LAUNCHING ALBION-AGAIN

We are excited to announce a major milestone in our plans to build a more sustainable business. This September, we are launching ALBION-AGAIN - our clothes recycling service to help you keep your wardrobe fresh, and extend the life of the clothes you buy from our store.

As a retailer we believe it’s our ongoing responsibility to do what we can to tackle the clothing waste issue. We buy from brands with a sustainable approach, whether that be because of the fabrics they use, opting for recycled materials or natural fabrics that biodegrade at the end of their life cycle, or because they have limited their production by making pieces to order or in very small batches. 

And in January 2023 we launched REPAIR.RE-WEAR, our lifetime commitment to repair clothes bought from our store if they become damaged. Because loving and wearing the items you buy for as long as possible is the best way to ensure your wardrobe is truly sustainable.

We know that sometimes, you might just fall out of love with an item of clothing, and that’s cool. As humans we need to change, evolve our style and switch up our wardrobes every now and then. 

So, after canvassing your feedback, we feel the time is right for us to launch ALBION-AGAIN - our clothing recommerce service to help reduce clothing waste and extend the life of every Albion Stores garment beyond its initial wearer.

Here’s how it works: 
You bring in or deliver a piece of used Albion Stores clothing that you’re ready to part with for us to resell online or in store. When it sells, we give you a voucher for 50% of the item’s sale value (we cover all costs), to spend with Albion Stores, in-store or online. Each voucher is valid for 12 months from the date we sell your item. 

We’ll keep a digital record of all vouchers issued, so you don’t have to worry about keeping track of anything, which helps us keep ALBION-AGAIN paper-free. 

We will only accept clothing, not accessories or jewellery, and no swimwear or underwear please. And it doesn’t matter if the item needs repairs, we can do those. Just make sure the garment is clean, stain free and moth free. 

All our ALBION-AGAIN pieces will be available on our website and you might even see them appear in our store, taking pride of place amongst our rails. 

And if we receive items that we think we can’t sell, or don’t sell after three months, we will send that item to our charity partner - Crises UK to support their vital work in ending homelessness.

It’s a triple win! You get to clear out unloved clothes, refresh your wardrobe with a carefully considered item at a discounted price, and help keep clothing out of landfill.
